I think wine is much more dangerous for the health than cheese! Eat more cheese, drink less, and everybody is going to be healthy and mouth stinking! :)

PS: I've got a question: is there any american looking at this show?!

Et sinon, j'adore!

March 21, 2006 9:48 PM

ouizzeul:

March 21, 2006 10:27 PM

Stan

Vinvin.

Terrible!

I mean, terribly funny--as always. You keep me chuckling and smiling all the way through you skit.

Some friendly advice for my fellow English speaking fans:

Don't correct Vinvin's English. His manner of speaking is part of his charm.

I can't wait for the next episode, Vinvin!

I was scared, then I learned about cheese. Mooo is the big cheese, maaaa is the little cheese (from goats).

And French people wear berets... just like I thought.

March 22, 2006 1:04 AM

Nathalie

Cyrille, you should plan a trip to the USA!
You need to learn more about american people and you would be surprised how they love French Cheese!
And by the way you are very sexy with your beret!
Bye I've got some camembert waiting for me in the fridge.

Dear Cousin,
Thank you for waking me up this morninig with such quality tv show! I would suggest you to drink red wine instead of "rosé", more typical may be and better for your health.
Bises et encore merci!

J'en ai versé des larmes! Le meilleur de la série, de loin. Keep on. For you all, american visitors: you can make this man become a star!

March 22, 2006 10:47 AM

Rose:

Malheureux!

March 22, 2006 11:10 AM

Jean-Hubert:

La touche Vinvin. Tu es fabuleux !

March 22, 2006 11:57 AM

maza:

Ok so there are some American people around here!
By the way Cousin is right: you should drink red wine with cheese! It depends on the cheese, but there, red would have been better! I think)
Hope your head doesn't hurt too much...

March 22, 2006 7:43 PM

milimalimaloue

The scariest thing about it : we french are all ayatollahs when it comes to wine and cheese...

March 22, 2006 8:50 PM

Bonjour Cyrille,

So, as an American, I love Camembert, but I had no idea that you had to stab it in the middle to check if it is good! Maybe soon we will see an CNN breaking News report - "Wisconsinite punctures 52 Camembert Rounds in Supermarket" and they will hold you liable for the advice! C'est super!

Simone:

Hi Cyrille ~

Okay, I confess, another Minnesotan, spitting distance from the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum and all the "cheese-heads" in Wisconsin. They pasteurize the cheese here-unfortunately. I never found cheese in the woods like that, though I did once road-kill a pheasant (delicious)...but the wine! I think if you were serving that much wine in the woods to a companion you would not have to worry about the seduction! You were very, very funny, even with a beret.

Cyrille,
I just discovered your show through NPR The World, really really awesome! I had to watch all the episodes in one sitting. This post is coming from California. Keep up the great performances, we love you! Oh, btw, I fell in love with French cheese on my trip to the Alsace region of France. Nothing comes close in America. It was pure heaven! When I returned to the US I finally understood what I read in the book A Goose in Toulouse, that we Americans have lost our taste for good food. Everything here is over industrialized and over processed until the point where there is no flavor left in anything. I had to re-educate my taste buds in France to discover how true this was.

Rock on Dude!

I enjoyed the demonstration of the impractical way to eat Roquefort, particularly when the wedge slides off the baguette and crashes onto the table. You can't do that with Velveeta.

Actually, it's impossible to choose the best episode, they're all fantastic. This one is like a good "well done" smelly camembert !
One question : how did you wash your finger in the middle of the forrest ? (now, I'll check if there's a hole in the middle of the cheese before buying it...)
Happy to see that our American friends share your peculiar sense of humor. You're gonna be a big star !

After watching this this I went out and bought myself a platter of the finest French cheeses including Danish Blue, Red Leicester, Edam and Tilsit. Well done for promoting French Cheese to the rest of the world. I for one have done my bit for the French economy!!

French cheese is not that bad! In Norway they eat a kind of brown goat milk cheese mixed up with caramel! You see, camembert is soft in comparison!

April 9, 2006 1:45 AM

nouille

Americans don't think French cheese is bad for your health. Where did you hear this? It's not 1942 anymore.

Australia just started to allow French cheese into their country, far behind the Americans.

Remember that the first thing you're given in the United Airlines' flight...is so Camembert...
[same for Air France btw]

Finally i Agree to conclude that the worst cheese ever is in Norway {galamost or stg like that...!!!) Try it, you'll never forget it.

I love your videos...>Keep Doing.
