If American people don't know much about us, I think that Frenchies have work too!!!

March 27, 2006 6:29 PM

Jude:

:o) This one is my favorite (even if this orange hair are very uggly)
Elvis IS NOT DEAD!!!

March 27, 2006 6:33 PM

Pica:

As a dual citizen (Italian & American), living in the US, I have to say that this episode was very enlightening. First of all, I am very relieved to know that there are more French names other than Mireille and Robert and Amélie and Pierre.

Please remember that 49% of Americans would prefer Jacques Chirac to Bush. Hell, we would take Gérard Depardieu over Bush.

And my vote for best movie of the year: Caché!

March 27, 2006 6:34 PM

Jude:

I wonder...was Luciole drunk???

March 27, 2006 6:36 PM

Tann:

Maybe she was wrong... but for sure she was funny !

March 27, 2006 6:38 PM

Now it's war between the beautiful Charlize Theron and the gorgeous Scarlett Johanson...

Do you have a penfriend named TwenTwen who could do such an interview with american people ?

March 27, 2006 8:36 PM

Tobaka:

Vinvin, you're improving!! This episode was v.v.v.good!! 20/20 ;)

Well, my answers ->

- my name is Tobaka (or maybe it's isn't...)
- I'm a student who's looking for an university which runs! they dont want us to study... :'(
- in my dreams, i went to America... but at the moment, not really :)
- Dick Cheney, a big jerk, worse than Bush (Cheney IS the man who leads everything in the USA...)
- I don't know :-/
- JFK has been killed by someone with two last names!! i can't remember >__<
- i'm not sure they really walked on the moon... but one american invented the moon-walk (oh oh what a joke!)
- oh yes Elvis's dead. not for everybody, but for me he is!! (ahah)
- mmh, you're too mean Vinvin!! but i think i'd prefer chirac to bush, and nothing to chirac as you said ;)
- Edward Norton ?
- Scarlett Johansson, soooo beautiful :( i want to marry you Scarlett =P
- maybe Linux? i mean the pinguins! but i dont remember >__< (sorry Vinvin i forgot!!)
- i want to say to American people that we do not hate them. we just dont like people like cheney or bush!! but dont worry, you make lots of good stuffs, really ;) but please, stop death penalty :'( and make peace with France and Europe!!!!!!! :D :D :D

see ya Americans!

March 27, 2006 8:38 PM

Vin Vin (20/20) your student in the interviews should definitely spend more time studying and less in the street!

March 27, 2006 10:27 PM

Stan

Great show, as usual, Vinvin!

Do you know what Joan Byez (sp?) once asked about us Americans?

She asked: Do you know the difference between yoghurt and the American people?

Her answer: Yoghurt has a living culture!

That's not true. We Americans who watch your show have more than a living culture. We have a laughing culture!!

Stan

Tippie:

Maybe some day FredOfMay can organise the Dance Flower party in Amsterdam and then I'll also be part of the show ...?! ;^)

Funny game ! Let's see if I can do it too.

~ My name is Tiphaine.
Yep, in America, that would be "Tiffany" ;^)
~ I'm an account representative / project manager.
~ Yup ! Florida. :o)
~ Absolutely NO idea !
~ Absolutely NO idea ! (I don't give a sh*t about Politics !! Does it show ? hehehe)
~ It was said to be a conspiracy... HOnestly, I don't know. I wasn't there.
~ Yup ! And Wallace and Gromit did it too ? How cool ! ;^)
~ Physically ? Yes. Very very dead. But he is still alive in our hearts and memories. Ahhhh... so lovely ! :op
~ Chie-Bush ? Bush-Rack ? (F*ck 'em all... )
~ No one, really.
~ Same answer...
~ Well, it wasn't me ! But I once was awarded a "Potin d'or". Does that count ? :o)
~ Nope. Nothing to declare !
Thank you. :o)

May I just add two things ?
~ Herve is really cool
~ But that "Luciole" girl kinda killed me ! (Gee, Cyrille, you're patient allright...)

Nice haircut, btw. ;^)

Delightful & informative show, Vinvin. It makes me wonder what a comparable quiz for Americans would cover ... Existentialism? The Story of O? Who *is* the French Elvis? De toute façon, this American is coming to visit your Belle Capitale in 3 weeks. I hope I'll have some similarly entertaining conversations with actual French people!

March 27, 2006 11:31 PM

Pseudo !

That was a real good shot, Sam ! I mean the show was very good !...
But nobody suspects Lee Harvey Oswald to have killed JFK ? Is that right ?

March 28, 2006 1:14 AM

Guido:

Excellent episode - merci beaucoup!

(ohhh, my head is hurting...last night I re-enacted your fromage episode)

March 28, 2006 2:30 AM

Simone:

Tempting, but I will resist the urge to "play"....

French prime minister? Villepin, and isn't he having rather some problems with the students at the moment? As for Cheney, since I don't know what his friend said to him right before he was shot, I can't say whether Cheney is a good shot or not..... But at least he's not president....though maybe if Bush went hunting with Cheney...hmmm.....

I have been in 40 of the 50 states, and some parts are breath-taking, but it is true that parts of Wyoming resemble the surface of the moon. Still, if the moon landing had been a movie, it would have been more interesting, maybe some really dramatic last minute technical difficulties, a fight, something romantic....;-)

I agree that Denis & Sophie have the best sense of humor. Did you find all these people in one spot?

As for the final comments, what can I say? It's nice to be loved;-)

Rock on!

March 28, 2006 4:52 AM

Scott

As an American, I would take Tony Blair over Bush any day! I can't speak about Chirac, since I don't really know much about his politics, but to me, he seems very stereotypically French! I would have gladly voted for Bill Clinton again; unfortunately, we would need to change our constitution to arrange it! Having lived in Europe (DK and DE), I think "Blonde Attitude" was actually German and not French! Am I right? In all, this is a really funny show. Vive la France!

March 28, 2006 5:27 AM

Sophie and Luciole.. don't change...

gigot - flageolet

I think the Gigot-Flageolet is a WMD. It is called the G-F Syndrom. Not yet a big part in the US culture, I'm sure that there will be a GFP on the long haul ( Gigot-Flageolet-Pinard) to protect USA from " la décadence". Ze time iz kom tou give tou ze US Aoueur best mantra . ZE French WMD: GFP. ( that's all folks !=.

Suisse !! Patrick Juvet

Nice job Vinvin
A bientôt si c'est pas avant.

Great, excellent, bravo. I must write something here to say how nice is this Podcast show. I'm also a Podcaster but the very nice idea of Vinvin: French Podcaster Podcasting in english is a really great idea !!
Somethign else: the last track on his show "I love america" was made by a Swiss guy: Patrick Juvet, excellent choice.

See u soon

Info ? Intox ?

2) Elvis est mort. Il a littéralement explosé dans un film des Monthy Python : the meaning of life. Disgusting !

Ok.

Great Show! impressed that everyone knew Dick Cheney

Everyone in Texas knows that you do not walk behind someone when you are birdhunting - most of the American media seem unaware of that

Blonde Attitude: Bonjour!
In the video, I thought she was not French because of the accent, oui, but also I started to wonder when she pronounced all of the syllables in the word "Attitude". French usually drops final syllables: compare the French "Pariii" with the German "Parisss", for example. There were other tip offs as well, of course.
I like your name, though! Say hello to France for me tomorrow!

March 31, 2006 5:30 AM

Hi Cyrille! I heard about your show on the radio. I wish that I could see it, but my connection is too slow. :o(

I really like your show, just found it yesterday, and i'm watching all the epsisodes. Great stuff. I was surprised how much the people interviewed knew about America. I can't say that I would know the same about France were the questions reversed...

Liked your episode #13. It is impressive that so many French people can speak English. Because of your web page, I can now say, "Bonjour".

I love thest videos! I discovered your site from an online article in the "Independent."

Was in Paris mid May....I fell in love with your city and will be back for sure! I only wish that I had met you and your friends....I was hoping to meet French people and learn about what it's like to live in Paris...but several people were not very friendly,,,:(

Why do you think that is? Maybe the younger people are more open to meeting people from different cultures than others?

Anyway...keep it up! I love it....your English is very good .

July 29, 2006 4:37 AM

Draga

Bonne continuation!!
